Loggings in NY and DC found

Our wonderful NY accomodations New York
So, I managed to find a decent hotel in NY. It not the standard I'm used to when travelling as a corporate ninja, but who cares, the plan is not to stay at the hotel all day!

I picked this place based on price, but equally as much on the ratings it recived, some af the cheaper places had horrible ratings to offset their meager prices.

Anyway, this will be living in downtown NY like a true bohemian, Rock'n'rollercoaster style! Hotel 17 will be our gracious host.

DC
In DC I've found a fair priced place near Dupont Circle and my beloved 'Kramer Books and Bar' After the New York slumming it will be nice to check in to a decent hotel

Finding a place to Crash in New York

This is a hurdle!

Being on a reasonable budget normally isn't a problem if your are somewhat flexible.

However New York has proved to be a challenge, unlike Washington which also can rake in the high end fares, New Your has not given us a break at all.

I have explored the obvious routes, hotels, B&Bs, even couch surfing, and there is no relief for the wicked.

So what are the criteria? Well, we need a place within a reasonable distance of Manhattan, near a metro station. Somewhere in Queens, Brooklyn would be fine. And the nightly rate should not exceed $100.

So I'll keep looking... Any leads are greatly appreciated!
